Biography

Oren founded Community Law S.C. in June 2020. He specializes in criminal defense while maintaining competence in general practice areas focused on the needs of individuals, small businesses, and farms. Outside of the firm he is a farmer, cidermaker, and builder. Oren further specializes in homicide cases and affirmative defenses including self-defense.

Awards

2024 Martin Hanson Memorial Advocates Prize for a homicide acquittal.

2025 Berkos Award for lifelong advocacy for a fair and effective justice system

2026 Martin Hanson Memorial Advocates Prize x3 for homicide acquittals.
